Specialising in Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder

Evidence-based, compassionate care shaped by clinical insight and lived experience.

Why Focused Care?

Mental health is a broad field, encompassing many different concerns and conditions. Just as we might see a medical specialist for certain physical health needs, a similar principle applies in mental health.

Providing focused care means narrowing the scope of practice so a clinician can develop a deep understanding of a particular condition – how it forms, how it persists, and which treatment approaches address it most effectively. This doesn’t replace whole-person care; rather, it reflects a more in-depth and targeted way of working.

Obsessive–Compulsive Disorder (OCD) involves distinct psychological processes that are best addressed through treatment approaches developed specifically for them. For this reason, my current clinical focus is on working with OCD using an evidence-based, targeted approach.

I currently work with adolescents (aged 16+) and adults with OCD, using Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (I-CBT). Over time, and in line with further training and supervision, my scope of practice will expand to include Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) and younger clients.
